About PSL Rating
PSL Rating is a free tool that gives you a PSL scale rating from a photo of your face. You upload a front photo, and you can add a side-profile photo if you want. You get back an estimated tier, the features that hold your score up or down, and practical suggestions. You sign in with Google to rate: your first rating is free, and a full report or more ratings cost credits. There are no ads.
How a rating is produced
It happens in two steps.
- In your browser. Your device finds facial landmarks, checks photo quality (lighting, angle, framing) and calculates basic measurements. To do this, your browser downloads the face-landmark model files from Google-hosted and CDN servers. Your photo is not uploaded during this step.
- On our server. When you ask for a rating, a downscaled copy of your photo goes to our server, which passes it to a third-party AI service (kie.ai, which routes it to Google Gemini). Gemini writes the rating and runs the age check. We don't store or log your photo.
Style previews in a full report are different: Google Nano Banana (Gemini's image-editing model, through kie.ai) edits your photo, Gemini checks each result for nudity, graphic violence and other unsafe content, and every preview is labelled "AI-generated preview". See our Acceptable Use Policy for what the service refuses.
Every photo goes through an automated age check. The service is for adults 18 and over only. If a photo appears to show a minor, or the age can't be confirmed, we refuse it and no rating is returned.
How we rate and measure
Every rating follows the same fixed method. Your browser first checks the photo (brightness, sharpness, framing, head angle, and whether more than one face is visible) and draws measurement lines for facial thirds, eye spacing and canthal tilt. The AI estimate then gives a score on the 0–8 PSL scale, with a tier name and regional comments. The site converts that score to an approximate 1–10 number using fixed points (PSL 4 is 5/10, PSL 8 is 10/10) and shows a percentile from a bell-curve model, not from a survey of real people.
The measurements are geometry on one photo, and the rating is a model's interpretation of it; neither is a clinical assessment. Both are limited by the photo and by AI bias, and the service is for adults 18 and over. The PSL scale guide and the attractiveness scale page give the definitions, and each guide and tool page shows a "Last updated" date.
What a rating can and cannot tell you
A rating is an AI estimate. It is not a fact about you. Results can change with lighting, camera distance, lens, expression and pose, and the same face can score differently in two photos. AI models also carry the biases of the data they were trained on. Attractiveness is partly subjective, and a number can't capture how you come across in person.
Ratings are for entertainment and self-improvement. They are not medical, psychological or professional advice. Any mention of fillers or surgery is general information only. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your body.
If a result bothers you, step away from it. It's one model's guess from one photo.
